A lot of kids will be wooing their parents this year to buy them what could be the best tablet for kids in 2014. DreamWorks Animation partnered with Fuhu to come out with its own tablet for kids called DreamTab. DreamWorks may have chosen the best partner in premiering its first computer tablet since Fuhu is the creator of award winning Nabi tablet for kids which sold more than 2 million in 2013.
The DreamTab Android Tablet for Kids which will be launched in CES 2014 in Las Vegas this week will be available in 8-inch and 12-inch versions, powered a new 4.4 Kit Kat Android based operating system and can be switched between child mode and parent mode. Expect to see characters from DreamWorks’ films and TV shows such as “Madagascar” and “How To Train Your Dragon” featured in games and educational tools in the DreamTab. Consistent with Nabi’s main strengths, the DreamTab will allow kids to stream movies, TV shows and play games with various parental controls.
Kids will have a lot to look forward to in the DreamTab. A feature called “Be an Artist” will teach kids how to draw characters from DreamWorks films through video tutorials from the studio’s animators. The DreamTab will also feature a technology which enable the tablet to communicate wirelessly with DreamWorks-made toys. However, users are not only limited to DreamWorks environment. They can also stream shows Nickelodeon, Disney and Cartoon Network using their DreamTab.
